Get Tiller talking to your Mac in a couple of minutes.
What you need
- An iPhone with Tiller from the App Store.
- A Mac running the free Tiller for Mac helper (it lives in the menu bar).
- Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
Setting up
- Download Tiller for Mac, then open it. It runs in the menu bar, so there’s no Dock icon. On first launch macOS asks it to “find devices on your local network”. Say yes.
- From the menu-bar icon, grant Accessibility access when prompted. This is what lets Tiller move the cursor and press keys. Until it’s granted, your phone can connect but nothing on the Mac will move.
- Open Tiller on your iPhone and approve its Local Network prompt. It finds your Mac automatically and connects.
Troubleshooting
The phone can’t find my Mac. Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, that Tiller for Mac is running, and that you allowed it to find devices on the local network (macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network).
It’s connected but nothing moves. Grant Accessibility to Tiller for Mac in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then try again. It takes effect within a couple of seconds, no relaunch needed.
